He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Percy Daniels of Manteo and Mary Elizabeth Webster; his children, Richard Thurman Tillett, Jr. and Teshia Sykes; his siblings, William Percy Daniels, Lindsey Warren Saunders, John Leon Saunders, Alander Liverman, Debbie Lindsey, Priscilla Jones, Carla Walcott, Clara Jean Wilson and Phondia Saunders; his daughter Tye Leary; and his brother Daniel Wilson Saunders. He was also cherished by Twelve Grandchildren.
