She is survived by: her brother Sam Midgett Jr.; her children, Harry Hunt Thomas Jr. and Barbara Dare Hartwig; her son-in-law Timothy E. Hartwig; her grandson Jonathon Hunt Thomas; and her half-siblings, Nancy Austin and Ted Midgett.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Twiford Colony Chapel (500 Budleigh St, Manteo, NC 27954). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt Olivet United Methodist Church (300 Ananias Dare St, Manteo, NC 27954). A reception was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
