He was predeceased by: his former wife Carol Wanamaker Pekrun; and his parents, Olga Nyary Pekrun and Raymond Paul Pekrun. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hanusik Pekrun; his children, Randi Pekrun Walker (Scott), Laura Hanusik McDaniels (Mark), Kenny Pekrun (Pam), Joey Hanusik, Eddie Hanusik (Donna) and Matt Hanusik (Morgan); his grandchildren, Melissa Woodard (Jordan), Benjamin Hanusik, Ethan Hanusik, JT McDaniels, Gavin Hanusik, Colin Hanusik and Abigail Hanusik; and his great grandchildren, William and Daniel Woodard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Twiford Colony Chapel (500 Budleigh St, Manteo, NC 27954). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Manteo Baptist Church (406 US-64, Manteo, NC 27954).
