She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Shell Sarver and Charles Sarver; her husband James Campbell "Cam" Matlock; her siblings, Ray Sarver (Pat) and Juanita Sarver Miles (Arville); and her nephew Fred Sarver, Jr. (Kim).
She is survived by: her children, Terry Anderson of Manteo, NC and Jim Matlock of Cary, NC; her siblings, Kelton Sarver (Katy) of Lexington, NC and Helen Bramer (Jim) of Roper, NC; her nieces and nephews, Evonne Collins, Susan Sarver, Christy Sarver Cook (Joey), Denise Sarver Welch, Misti Collins, Ellie Churchill, Emma Welch, Tristan Welch, Reagan Cook, Lindsay Cook and Jackson Cook; and her cousins, Lillian Shell and Carl Shell.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo where she volunteered for many years.
