It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Pledger Bowser of Manteo, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil W. Bowser, Sr.; her sons, Johnny Pledger, Cecil William Bowser, Jr. and Thomas Foster Bowser; and her siblings, Marion Hall, Jannie Overton, James William Pledger, George Pledger, Jr. and Arthur Pledger.

She is survived by: her children, Elnora Bowser of Landover, MD, Gilda Bowser of Manteo, NC, Mary Bowser of Oxon Hill, MD, Catherine Bowser of Manteo, NC, Roland Bowser of Manteo, NC and Melvin Bowser (Irma) of Hinesville, GA.; and her grandchildren, Theresa Gregory, Ray Bowser, Keith Bowser, Cecil W. Bowser III, Anissa Bowser, Anthony Basnight, LaToya Shelby, Arthur Bowser, Deidra Smalls, Alfred Burton and Jonathan Bowser. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
