With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carlton Aldridge Shannon Sr. of Manteo, North Carolina, who passed away on July 3, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Perry Shannon and John Shannon of Manteo; and his sisters, Pauline Gray and Yvonne Hammond. He is survived by: his sons, Carlton A. Shannon, Jr. (Karen) of Charlotte, NC and John Shannon of Manteo, NC; and his granddaughters, Kathleen Shannon of Celebration, FL, Emily Shannon of Houston, TX and Mary Shannon of Charlotte, NC.. He is also survived by father to his two sons and a loving grandfather to his three granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, PO Box 787, Manteo, NC 27954.
