He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Midgett Wescott and Cleon "Sonny" Tillett; his daughter Ella Planter; and his siblings, Alberta Gray and Cleon Harvey.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Muhammad and Alton W. Tillett, Jr. (Nicole); and his brother Del Roy Bowser. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
