He is survived by: his wife Diane O'Quinn Dickens; his daughter Gena Dickens of Mamers; his grandchildren, Jaylee and Jake; and his siblings, Vonnie Dickens of Lillington, Barbara Holder (James) of Mamers, Shirley Black of Lillington and Alvin Dickens (Barbara) of Broadway. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
