It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney Otha Hanson of Maiden, North Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Leaman Hanson and Ruth Peagler Hanson; and his sisters, Donna McAdams and Nancy Toler. He is survived by: his son Donald Hanson of Georgia; his girlfriend Vickie D. Bristol; his sister Teresa English of South Carolina; and his stepchildren, Tammi Tidwell of South Carolina, Bryan Ashe (Karen) of High Shoals, Crystal Ashe of Claremont and Mark Franks (Beverly) of Maiden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Temple Baptist Church in Gastonia.
