He is survived by: his wife Alice Philyaw; his children, Derek Wright, Sherry Philyaw and Virgie Stanley; his stepchildren, Doris Beal, Laura Beard and Jerry Beal; and his siblings, Robert Philyaw, Jerry Philyaw, Dwight Philyaw and Jean Lowe. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
