He was predeceased by: his parents, William Milton and Lacy Hovis Ewing; his brother Randall Ewing; and his nephew Derek Wright. He is survived by: his sister Martha E. Wright (Lewis) of Lincolnton; his nephews, Mark Ewing of Newton and Todd Ewing (Michelle) of Fuquay-Varina; his niece Wendy Byers (Robby) of Denver; his sister-in-law Janet Drum Ewing of Newton; and his girlfriend Jennie Church of Maiden.
