With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Meryl Sue Flynn of Maiden, North Carolina, born in Marion, Indiana, who passed away on January 3, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wildon Gill and Elsie Thomas Gill; and her nephews, Eugene Scruggs and Brian Scruggs. She is survived by: her husband Terry Flynn; her siblings, David Gill of South Carolina and Ona Scruggs of Morehead City; and her children, Carla Thompson of Lenoir and Jonathan Thompson of Maiden. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
