He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Harold and Lucille Pearl Beard Shelton; and his sister Sherry Isenhour. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Whisenant Shelton; his son Brad Shelton of Maiden; his grandchildren, Spencer Shelton (Hannah) of Newton and Misty Watt (Ryan) of Taylorsville; his great grandchildren, Ivy Rose Shelton, Hayleigh Watt and Harper Watt; his brother Eddie Kale (Vickie) of Hickory; and his brother-in-law David Isenhour of Conover.
