It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Daniel Lail of Maiden, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lail and Ruth Jarett Lail; his children, Kathy Houser and Rick J. Lail; his siblings, Dorothy Lail Smith, Wade Lail and Edward "Jake" Lail; and his nephew Jerry Wayne Lail.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Abernathy Lail; his daughters, Trina Stamey (David) and Becky Simpson (Ken); his brother John W. Lail; his grandchildren, Nikki Mitchell (Billy), Kenneth Simpson Jr., Angela Smith, Ryan Stamey, Joseph Lail (Alayna), Holly Wayne (Joey), Timothy Lail, Josh Stamey (Jessica), Kara Law, Megan Green (Neil) and Austin Houser; and his niece Linda Abernathy (Trent).
