He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Johnny Earl Yancey and Myrtle Weaver Yancey; his wife Patricia "Pat" Yancey; his children, Melissa Rose of Claremont, Jimmy E. Yancey Jr. of Maiden and Danny Yancey (Crystal) of Sherrills Ford; his siblings, Bill Yancey (Faye) of Maiden, Johnny Yancey (Freida) of Maiden and Frances "Sis" Helms of Newton; and his grandchildren, Kyle Rose, Jordan Rose, Madison Yancey, Savannah Yancey and Avery Yancey.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM at the Cornerstone Church (409 E Main St, Maiden, NC 28650). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
