He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Alfonso and Clementina Cairo; and his grandson Alex Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Siomara Ramentol Alfonso; his children, Geofredo Alfonso (Angela) and Gerardo Alfonso (Sonia); his grandchildren, Marlayna Alfonso Ozuna, Clements Alfonso, Caridad Alfonso, Antonio Alfonso, Victoria Alfonso, Autumn Hovis, Samantha Alfonso, Deshawn Benson and Kathryn Chisom; and his siblings, Julio Alfonso, Jesus Alfonso, Nelia Alfonso, Zobeida Alfonso and Omar Alfonso. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Catawba Funeral Home (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
