He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mearl Metcalf and Lou Ellen Newton Metcalf; his wife Kathy Metcalf; his children, John Metcalf (Robyn) of Charlotte, Laura Tobeler (Fred) of Maiden and Jessica Thore (Logan) of Atlanta, GA.; his sisters, Cathy Elrod (Robbie) of Conover, Betsy Shaffer of Concord and Clydia Seymour (Ronnie) of Harrisburg; and his grandchildren, Luke, Max, Aubrey, Emersyn, Bennette, Hattie and Annie.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Burke Mortuary of Maiden (1101 E Maiden Rd, Maiden, NC 28650). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
