She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Drum and Rhoda Caldwell Drum; her husband Eugene Josey; her children, Michael, Helen, Ellen Josey and Willie Josey; and her siblings, Wesley Drum, Pinkney Drum, Richard Drum, John Drum, Beulah Beal, Beatrice Kaylor, Lou Drum and Bessie Wilkinson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Josey Jonas (Bruce) of Claremont, Gloria Josey Barkley of Maiden and Debbie Josey Brown (Ricky) of Maiden; her daughter-in-law Frances Josey of Maiden; her siblings, Verlin Drum of Newton, May Lee Drum Campbell of Maiden and Geraldine Drum Gilbert of Lincolnton; and her grandchildren, Christal Saunders (Keith), Shane Jonas, Michael Jonas (Goldie), Stanley Barkley (Amy), Cheryl Withers (Doug), Aaron Brown (Jessica), Brandon Josey (Terra Ball) and Hannah Thai (Billy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mt. Anderson Baptist Church (4818 NC-16, Maiden, NC 28650). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
