With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellis Smith Jr. of Maiden, North Carolina, who passed away on July 15, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Smith Sr. and Emma Shook Smith; his son Richard Allen Smith; and his siblings, David "Bud" Smith, Billy Smith, Samuel Rouse, Margie Propst and Mary Roseman.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Setzer Smith; his children, Barry Wallace Smith (Sherry) of Sparta, NC and Angela Ward of Harrisburg; his stepson James Samuel Allen of Newton; and his sister Betty Curlee of Conover.
