She was predeceased by: her parents, James Propst and Elva Mullinax Propst; her husband Glenn "Buck" Eugene Shook; her son Ronnie Shook; and her siblings, Nelson, Bill, Frank, Lloyd, John, Donald Propst and Alene Boston.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Shook (Aliene) of Maiden, Rick Shook (Sug) of Maiden and Glenda Mercer (John) of Valdese; her daughter-in-law Susan Shook of Maiden; her brother Melvin Propst of Greensboro; and her caregiver Sherry Bradley of Maiden. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren; 9 Great, Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Matthews Reformed Church (4575 Maiden Hwy, Maiden, NC 28650). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
