She was predeceased by: her brother Clyde "Wade" Whitener. She is survived by: her parents, Clyde Whitener and Gaye Campbell Whitener of Maiden; her husband James Edward Brewer; her son Christopher Bradley Mauldin (Eva Marie) of Conover; her stepson James Brewer Jr. of Maiden; her daughter Misty Wheeler (Sean) of Gastonia; her stepdaughters, Domonique Lobdell of Hendersonville, Amanda Brewer of Brevard and Stacy Brewer of Waterbury, CT.; her sister Melinda Whitener Triplett of Maiden; her grandchildren, Cadence Rose Mauldin, Alyssa Danielle Osborne, Kalynn Grace Nantz and Logan Blake Nantz; and her stepgrandchildren, Aaralyn, Annistyn, Olivia, Alyssa, Amyah, Malakye of Trey, LJ and Alex.
