He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Childers; and his siblings, Marilyn Childers, Gray Childers and Clinton Childers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery (4536 Hickory Lincolnton Hwy, Newton, NC 28658).
