With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Wilson Overcash of Maiden, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2024 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pickney Wilson, Sr. and Virginia Blanton Wilson; and her siblings, Albert Wilson, Woodrow Wilson, Coleman Wilson, Harold Wilson, George Wilson Jr., Katie Sue Bell and Barbara Hardin.

She is survived by: her husband Larry Overcash; her children, Bobby Riley of Newton, Shawn Overcash (Lisa) of Saluda, Sheliah Burghardt (Paul) of Newton, Donna Hammonds (Jeff) of Conway, Carol Johnson (Gary) of Lincolnton and Sherri Cook of Conover; her sister Janet Enlow (Skip Wilson) of Delaware; her grandchildren, Drennin Todd (Matthew), Kayleigh (Brandon), Marley (William), Lauren (David), Brittany (Justin), Kelly (Caleb), Rachel (David), Sarah (Austin), Logan, Riley (Cody), Robbie, Gabby and Karina; and her great grandchildren, Wesley (Sherri) of Grace, J. T., Brylee, Hazel, William, Mason, Adeline, Aurora, Mavea and Bailey.
