She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Towery and Eula Wood Towery; and her siblings, Ed Towery and Margaret T. Lockee. She is survived by: her husband Fred Poovey; her children, Beth Poovey Rudisill (Steve) of Maiden and Brad Poovey (Kris) of Maiden; her grandchildren, Riley Poovey, Nolan Rudisill, Avery Poovey and Presley Poovey; and her brother J. D. Towery (Ann) of Maiden.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Mays Chapel Methodist Church (1707 Mays Chapel Cir, Newton, NC 28650). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
