He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Whaley of Washington and Ellen Mae Bradberry Whaley; his daughter Cathy W. Woodcock; and his son-in-law Joe Douglas Malone. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Atkinson Whaley; his children, Teresa Ann Arnold (Robert) of Greenville, Rhonda C. Malone of Magnolia, John T. Whaley, Jr. and Jerry F. Whaley (Rebecca) of Clinton; and his friend John. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and numerous extended family.
