He was predeceased by: his parents, Abner Bruce Croom and Eloise Hardy Croom; his wife Violet Cade Croom; and his brother Linwood Lee Croom. He is survived by: his daughters, Jamie C. Dixon (Jay) and Libbie C. Rogers (Harry); his grandchildren, Staten Rogers (Alicia), Alex Rogers (Elizabeth), Cassie Wetherington (Wade) and Jacob Dixon (Macy); his great grandchildren, Ellie and Hadley Wetherington; and his aunt Joyce Hardy Avery.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rouse Funeral Home (108 N Caswell St, La Grange, NC 28551). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
