We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2025, at the age of 91, Virgie Mae Lusk Head (Maggie Valley, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Virgie Mae Lusk shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virgie Mae Lusk farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Emmett Head Sr.; and her mother Lula Lusk Burnette. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Jeanette "Liz" Head; her sons, John Head Jr., Jerry Lee Head and Larry Dean Head; and her daughter-in-law Donna Head. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service (3732 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, NC 28751). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
