He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Earl Smith and Betty Jean Evans Little; his stepfather Autry L. Little; and his grandparents, Wilbert and Margaret Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Bryan Smith; his children, Ashley Welborn (Hunter) of Maggie Valley, NC, Robin R. Smith of Lumberton, NC and Marica Fisher (Dwayne) of Lumberton, NC; and his brother A. L. Little (Yvonne) of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
