She was predeceased by: her husband James J. Carlson. She is survived by: her children, Matthew Carlson (Diane), Jamie Flanagan (Patrick), Stacey Daniel (late Sumpter), Shannon Polak (Joe), Paul Carlson (Leanne), Theresa Carlson and Mary Claire McGarity (Michael); and her sister Helen Cortright (Dean) of Urbana, IL.. She is also survived by 25 loving grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren.
A Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church (92 Murphy Dr, Maggie Valley, NC 28751).
