She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Lassiter and Jeanette Lassiter; her husband Jim Fugate; her siblings, Keith Lassiter and Patricia Lassiter; her mother-in-law Louise Fugate; her nephew Aaron Fugate; her brothers-in-law, Jerry and Joe Fugate; her son-in-law Rick Sinclair; and her uncles, Kenneth Banks, Monroe Shelton and Vono Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Vance Ball (Melinda), Maria Parisi Sinclair, Chancey Fugate (Heather) and Amanda Putnam (Junior); her siblings, Frank Lassiter (Mary Ann), Eva Kestner (Bob Gaddy), Diane Stevens (Bruce) and Barbara Lassiter; her grandchildren, Dalton Thompson, Hannah Leopard, McKenna Fugate, Addison Fugate, Holland Fugate, Maria Boone (Will) and Josh Putnam; her in-laws, Teresa Fugate, Sam and Patricia Sharp; and her adoptive daughter Beth Tice. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Smoky Mountain Cremations & Funeral Service (3732 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, NC 28751). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
