It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Sue Hughes of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Moody and Florence Fie Moody; and her siblings, Marie Lovedahl, William Moody and Dave Moody.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Hughes; her sons, Scott Hughes and Stephen Hughes; and her brother Robert Moody (Margaret). She is also survived by grandchildren and three cherished great-grandchildren.
