He was predeceased by: his father James Phillips (Jim); and his sister Annie Phillips. He is survived by: his mother Delores Coyne Phillips of Lake Junaluska; his son Carson Phillips of Franklin; and his sister Megan Phillips (Nick Klug) of Hendersonville. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
