He is survived by: his wife Patricia Packett McConnell; his children, Amy McConnell (Jonathan Horne) of Mooresville and David McConnell (Jessie N. Brown) of Denver, NC; his sister Coleen Gaye (Blake) of Conway, SC; and his grandchildren, Brandon McConnell, James, Frances Funk, Jaden, Ryan Horne and Shelby McConnell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
