With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Ward of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, born in Salem, New Jersey, who passed away on March 16, 2021 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Rathbone and Charlotte Poulson Rathbone; and her brothers, Joseph "Joey" and David Rathbone. She is survived by: her husband Ricky Ward; her children, Crystal Marie Jones (Paul) of Pisgah Forest, Ricky Joseph Ward of Tarboro and Jethro Ward of Maggie Valley; her sisters, Lori Rathbone of Waynesville and Linda Holbrooks (Tim) of Franklin; her grandchildren, Haley Keene, Alex, Stephen, Nick Jones, Rickson, Aubrey and Faith Ward; and her great grandchildren, Bryson and Hazel Keene. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
