With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilbur Ray Shelton Sr. (Madison, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on November 15, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Lee Shelton and Eva Elizabeth Throckmorton Shelton; and his wife Nellie Gray Chambers Shelton. He is survived by: his sons, Ray Shelton (Gayle), William Lee Shelton (Sherry), Daniel G. Shelton (Ann) and Todd Shelton (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Colby Joyce, Nathan Shelton, Lydia Shelton, Rebecca Edwards (Joseph), Skyla Shelton and Chris Shelton; his great grandchildren, Nate Rumley, Hunter Shelton, Oakley Edwards, Memphis Edwards, Scarlette Edwards and Knox Abernathy; and his siblings, Eunice Comer (Bob), Frank Shelton, Wilson Shelton and Gene Shelton. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
