He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Shough and Mary Jannie McBride Shough; his wife Patsy Snow Shough; and his siblings, Benton Shough, Ann Jenkins and Nancy Chaney.
He is survived by: his son James William Shough; his grandchildren, Patsy Shough, Angel Shough, Tina Shough and James William Shough, Jr.; and his siblings, Willie Shough (Debra), Faye Bullins (Donnie), Carolyn King, Henrietta Johnson (Bobby) and Ada Prescott (Ron). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025).
