Robert Shelton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Shelton of Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harden Lester Shelton, Sr. and Katherine Millner Shelton of Ridgeway, Virginia.; his wife Mozelle Anderson Shelton; and his siblings, Roberta S. Dalton, Audrey S. Penn, Paul Shelton and Phyllis S. DeJarnette.

He is survived by: his children, Nichelle Shelton (Lynnette), Tamara Shelton (Clarence) and Robert Shelton, Jr. (Mela); his siblings, Harden L. Shelton, Jr., Alvin G. Shelton (Deborah Renea) and Margaret A. Faust (Joseph); and his granddaughters, Mi'Osha Scarver (Devante), Tia Salomon (Gregory), Memorie Neal, Malerie Neal and Marley Neal.

Viewing was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Perry-Spencer Funeral Home (402 Short Ave, Madison, NC 27025). Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Stephens United Methodist Church (600 Hwy St, Madison, NC 27025). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
