He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Coolidge Southern and Louise Gaither Southern; his siblings, Austin "Butch" Southern, Carl "Curly" Southern, Samuel "Sam" Southern, David "Frog" Southern, Bobby "Bob" Southern and Linda "Sue" Wood; his parents-in-law, Troy Lee and Betty Parrish; and his pet Chester.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Parrish Southern; his children, Kevin Brim (Kristen) and Heather Southern; and his grandchildren, Mazie Brim and Parrish Southern. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025).
