He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Edward Rierson and Bernice Jane Essick Rierson; his wife Phyllis "Ann" Bartkas Rierson; and his daughter Leslie Ann Rierson. He is survived by: his son Jerry "Buddy" Rierson, Jr. (Misti); his grandchildren, Cheyenne Turpin (Wade), Jade Marshall (Dustin), Mack Rierson (Logan) and Mitch Rierson (Rebecca); his great grandchildren, Hope, Emberlyn, Rosealyn, Finlee, Ava, Korra, Lilith and Huxlee; his sisters, Wanda Collins (Ray), Brenda Snider and Lynn Rierson (Barry Hartman); the mother of his children Ann Joyce; his close friend Dale Frost; and his pet Woofie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025). A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Knollhurst Memorial Gardens (2116 Madison Dillard Rd, Madison, NC 27025).
