He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Brown and Nora Edwards Brown; his wife Sharon Thomas Brown; and his siblings, Atlas Brown, Wilma Langley, Dennis Brown, George Brown and Jimmy Brown.

He is survived by: his son Gregory Carroll Brown; his sisters-in-law, Marie and Edith Brown; and his brother Eddie Fox. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
