He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorraine Stantliff and Roscoe Closson; his stepfather Vernon Stantliff; his brothers, John Closson Sr. and Henry Closson Sr.; and his son Stephen Closson.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Joyce Closson; his sons, David Closson II (Mary) and Daniel Closson (Stormy); his brother Keith Stantliff (Linda); his grandchildren, Jessica Closson, Caroline Closson, Olivia Closson and Stephen Cody Closson (Maria); and his great grandchild Isabelle.
A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (4543 NC-772, Madison, NC 27025).
The family requests that donations be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and/or Ancora Compassionate Care in David's memory.
