He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Robertson Holland; and his son Jerry Holland. He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Holland (Karen) of Madison, Charles Holland (Wendy) of Madison, Carol McLawhon (Ed) of Madison and Sandra Elmore (Bill) of Hillsborough; his grandchildren, Heidi Lambeth (John), John McLawhon (Heather), Jamie McLawhon (Jenna), Dr. Kristen Elmore Schuldt (John), Dr. Kevin Elmore, David, Daniel and Tyler Holland; his great grandchildren, Jack, Maggie, Haylee, Philip and Caroline; his siblings, Richard Holland (Patricia) and Margaret Carden; his close friend Althea Fulcher; and also Rhonda Holland of Madison.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodland Cemetery.
