She was predeceased by: her parents, Taylor Purdy and Gladys Purdy of Stoneville; her in-laws, G. W. and Jennie Vernon of Stoneville; her brother-in-law Fred Hicks; her nephew Taylor Purdy, Jr.; and her brother James Purdy.
She is survived by: her husband George Franklin Vernon; her daughter Jennie Vernon (Chris Martin); her siblings, Paul Purdy (Carrol), Taylor Purdy (Phyllis), Pat Hicks and Sandra Plantz (Norman); and her siblings-in-law, Jeanette Dodson (James), Linda Knight (Bonnie), Eleanor Patterson (Frankie) and Ronnie Vernon.
