She was predeceased by: her husband John R. Vaughan; her son Eugene "Gene" Vaughn; her grandson Joe Carter; and her great grandchild Adam Purgason. She is survived by: her children, Johnny Vaughan (Rhonda), George Vaughan, Joan Tuttle (Jimmy) and Mary Shelton; her siblings, Carl Hodges (Brenda), Margaret Hensley and Barbara Barbour (Jackie); and her grandchildren, Brandy, Anna, Austin, Lauren, Haley Tuttle, Mary "Sissy", Jeffrey Carter, Karrie Dillion, Walter Shelton, Jody Altizer, Melissa Rortvedt (Jason) and Victoria Duggins. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
