He is survived by: his wife Gladys Smith Medford; his daughters, Regina Medford Cherry (Tal) of Macclesfield and Patricia Joan Burdette (Tim) of Greenville; his sisters, Ann Andrews of Macclesfield, Penny Kinnin of Tarboro and Susan Peace (Steve) of Tarboro; his grandchildren, Trey Derby, Christin Adcock (Josh), Christopher Medford (Lily), Cody Cherry, Ethan Cherry and Matt Harding; his great grandchildren, Summerlynn Adcock and Dominic Medford; his close friend Shirley Hudson of Vanceboro; and his friend Mary James of Tarboro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
