She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Hines and Effie Lindsey Hines. She is survived by: her daughters, Maggie Heath of Macclesfield, NC and Renee Battle; and her siblings, William Hines of Dortches, NC, George Hines of Washington, DC, Ethel Ruth Hines of Brooklyn, NY, Mary Hines of Rocky Mount, NC and Shirley Johnson of Pinetops, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, with a host of great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Washington Branch Missionary Baptist Church (700 N Railroad St, Macclesfield, NC 27852). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
