He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Shearin; his mother Winnie Belle Mullen Askew; his siblings, Linda Askew Futrell (David) and Dannie Askew (Merry); his nieces, Brittany Askew, Angela Askew and Tiffany Morris; his great-niece Cheyenne Harris; and his grandson Kasey Shearin. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Spring Hope Funeral Home (7881 Webbs Mill Rd, Spring Hope, NC 27882). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Peachtree Baptist Church Cemetery (3523 NC-581, Spring Hope, NC 27882).
