With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Kellum of Lynn, North Carolina, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on May 10, 2021 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne Kellum to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Kellum and Ruth Clarke Kellum. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Childress Kellum; his son Brad Kellum (Nicole); his grandchildren, Ethan, Wesley and Emma; his son Brent Kellum (Amanda); his grandchildren, Holden, Bella, Beckett and Tinley; and his siblings, Bobby Kellum (Debra) and Linda McCall (Dennis).

In lieu of flowers, the Kellum family has requested that donations be made in honor of Wayne's memory to The Hospice of the Piedmont located at 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, North Carolina, 27262.

“Wayne and I go back 75 years, cousins, born within a month of each other, grew up in Wilmington, NC. Played sports together, ran around Lake Forest and Lake Village, attended Lake Forest and New Hanover High School. Needless to say, we grew up with everything we needed, but no leftovers or excess. One of the first in our families to attend college and take advantage of the American Dream. Wayne to me was always a smart,reflective and hard working individual who loved the Lord. Terry Benson”
