It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Veety of Lynn, North Carolina, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 17, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his mother Arline Soderbloom (Huggler) of Otisevill, NY; his wife Lynn Veety (Pirog); his children, Andrew (Sara), Sarah Petty (Chris) of Chapel Hill, NC and Matthew (Elena); his grandchildren, Reis, Alexis, Hudson and Lydia; and his siblings, Colleen, Kim, Ron and Art.
In lieu of flowers, Mark's family encourages making a donation to the Planetary Society in his name.
