He was predeceased by: his parents, William Townsend "Billy" Powers, Sr. and Jean Baxley Powers. He is survived by: his wife Caryl Powers; his children, Ashley Jean Baxley (Jay) of St. Pauls and Caleb Quitman Powers (Jennifer) of Lumberton; his brother Keith Richard Powers of Holden Beach; his grandchildren, Grace Kelly Rigsbee, Hailey Michelle Baxley and George Weston Powers; and his aunt Margaret Branch of Lumberton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ten Mile Baptist Church (5176 Barker 10 Mile Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery (5176 Barker 10 Mile Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358).
